Glow Worm Caves
Your Te Anau Glowworm Caves adventure begins with a scenic cruise across Lake Te Anau to the western side of the lake. Upon arrival, there is time to view informative displays at Cavern House before your friendly guides invite you to accompany them underground in small groups.
It is an exciting environment, a mysterious world of rock formations and fossils, of waterfalls, whirlpools and a ‘cathedral’ cavern with rock walls towering high above, before gliding through silent darkness to the glowworm grotto. The delicate incandescence of thousands of tiny glowworms is a magical sight.On exiting the caves there is time available for an optional 10 minute walk along the lakeshore.

Doubtful Sound Wilderness Cruise
Doubtful Sound, located in a World Heritage Area, is an overwhelming place. You can feel the power of nature here – the remoteness, the wildness and the peace. Known for its wilderness and wildllife, Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland National Park and it is three times longer and 10 times larger than Milford Sound.
Your Doubtful Sound adventure begins as you cruise the crystal clear waters of Lake Manapouri. Then it is over Wilmot Pass, stopping along the way to experience some of Fiordland’s densest rainforest and to view the colourful alpine moss gardens.
On reaching Deep Cove, you will board for your three-hour cruise that takes in the most dramatic scenery of Doubtful Sound. On the way back visit Manapouri Underground Power Station. Departures from Manapouri: Duration: 8 hrs Check in 20 minutes prior to departures
